Gardening Club - Chairperson needed

The Gardening Club recently held its AGM and last meeting of the year. Stephen Powles gave a fascinating illustrated talk on  "Hornets." His aim he said was to make everyone like them! He explained their life cycle and spoke with authority as he had built into a bedroom of his home a viewing station to observe their nest and activity behind a glass screen. 

The meeting ended with a plated supper, with provisions supplied by a local supermarket. 

At the AGM Committee places were filled apart from that of Chairperson, a post held until last year by John Greenslade. If anyone is interested in filling this role please speak to Wendy Baker of Burn Mill.

The annual Gardening Club post Christmas meal takes place at Bickleigh Mill mid January and monthly meetings commence again in March on the second Monday of the month.
