Bickleigh Coronavirus Response

Important Notice

Bickleigh Coronavirus Response

Following discussions between representatives from St. Mary’s Church, the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee we outline below our initial plans to look after the more vulnerable in the village.

While we appreciate many are making their own arrangements, we want to ensure that no one is left out and that help is provided to those who need it.

Consequently we are setting up a basic ‘essential errands’ service predominantly for grocery shopping. If you are in need of such help or would like to volunteer to run the errands please contact us using the contact details below. Please provide your own contact details and we will get back to you. Any information provided will be treated in confidence.

We are also conscious that many people will be potentially isolated for a considerable period so if you would just like to chat with someone over the telephone or are willing to volunteer to make such calls please let us know.

Email: bickleighvillagehall@gmail.com

or Tel: Clive & Judith Williams on 01884 855093

Further communications will be via the Bickleigh website www.bickleigh.org.uk, on the Bickleigh Village Hall Facebook page and the village noticeboard so please monitor these regularly for the latest information and updates.

We are all very fortunate to live within such a caring community and I’m sure we will all do what we can to look out for each other and particularly those in most need. In the meantime please follow the latest NHS guidance, links to which are also available on the Bickleigh website.
