Exe Valley, one of the two Tiverton U3A (University of the Third Age) local groups is holding an open free event with cream tea at Tiverton Rugby Club on Wednesday August 15th 2018 at 2pm. Anyone retired or semi retired can find out more about the group's activities and decide whether it might be for them. The group has over 200 members who have a regular monthly meeting with a guest speaker and many different interest groups to join all run by volunteer co-ordinators. I arrange the Local History Group and in September we are visiting Hillersden House, near Cullompton for a guided tour of the house, gardens, lakes, deer park, stumpery and even a replica Greek temple!
